I had the best of fortunes knowing Joanne for over 14 years. She was my bookkeeper and business confidant and kayaking mentor for all that time. I was always impressed by Joanne’s sense of adventure with her camping, kayaking and rollerblading. It was remarkable that she continued enjoying those activities up into her 70’s! We were kayaking one day when her dog Buddy went overboard from her kayak and I had the good fun of scooping him up in his little life jacket and returning him to her boat. And then there was the time Buddy was dog napped and held for ransom. Joanne set up a sting in the Safeway parking lot with the police where she showed up with the $500 ransom fee and the police swept in and nabbed the bad guy. She was a really tough gal and she really loved that dog. My last bit of good fortune was dropping in to see her 2 weeks before she passed, we had a very memorable visit and I will miss her. Joe J.

My condolences to you all for the loss of your loved one Joanne. May these scriptures bring you all a measure of comfort and hope during this time. Revelation 21: 3, 4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
