Barbara June Peterson, 80 was born January 5, 1938 in Bristol, Connecticut to Robert and Pearl Beeler. She had one sister Beverly.

The family moved to Nebraska and eventually made their way to Colorado where Barbara went to Arvada High School. She met Melvyn Peterson at the A & W Root Beer where she worked. She loved camping, four wheeling, water skiing, and spending much of her time with friends and family in different places all over the Colorado Mountains. There were many stories and memories shared around campfires that will never be forgotten. Barbara and Mel enjoyed traveling together and traveled the country by motorhome after both were retired. Barbara was also passionate about reading and always had a good book to recommend to friends and family. She has passed her love of reading on to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her husband Melvyn Ray Peterson, her three children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her memory will live on through the love and genuine kindness she shared with all who knew her.
