Dee Latham peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Mary Gandy, her son Robin Latham and daughter Barbara McAlpin. She is survived by her husband George Latham, brother John Gandy (Rona), and her children: Norma Mummert (Chuck), Glenn Latham (Sue), Sandy Neafsey (Jeff), and Mark Latham (Donna), 13 grandchildren: Annette Brinkman (Dan), Karen Daily (Greg), Colin Latham (Kori), Chris Latham (Jordan), Carrington Latham, Amy Inyang (Mfon), Grant Latham, Matthew McAlpin (Allison), Katharine McAlpin Parkhill (Clint), Rachel Neafsey, Anna Nolan (Caleb), Nic Latham, and Sara Latham, and 9 great grandchildren: Acacia Brinkman, Abigail Brinkman, Noah Daily, Oliver Daily, Ben Latham, James Latham, Gloria Latham, Harper Latham, and Miles McAlpin.

Dee was born in Morristown, NJ on October 11, 1932. She met George in high school and they were married in 1952. Dee worked as a bank courier and attended college until they started a family, with the birth of Norma, shortly after being married. They lived in Wilmington, Delaware while George completed his final year of college at the University of Delaware. After graduation, they moved to Long Island, New York where Glenn was born and they adopted Robin and Barbara. Then they moved to San Jose, California for work where Sandy and Mark were born, and then on to Colorado in 1965.

They assisted with the formation of Faith Bible Chapel, where both George and Dee ministered to many people. During this time, they had numerous youth from the church live in their home. Dee also invested greatly in her children, never missing a sporting event, concert, or play.

Once all her children had graduated high school, Dee went back to work at a mortgage company. Later on, when she and George moved back to California, she also worked for United Airlines, greatly enjoying the flight benefits. Her spunk, love of travel, sailing, the water, card games, ballroom dancing, and her keen ability to tell stories as the life of the party will be greatly missed by all.
