Gerald Webb, known as “Jerry” passed away at the age of 88 on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Lakewood, Colorado.
Jerry was born on March 27, 1931 in Syracuse, New York and from a young age and throughout his life, his faith was of utmost importance. As a child, he enjoyed building model racing cars and singing in choir. He served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy. He then began his lifelong career at the Bell Telephone Company, in 3 states-New York, Minnesota, and Colorado.
From a young age, Jerry could be found in pool halls, including cleaning them in exchange for table time as a teenager. His love of billiards lasted his entire life, and he never turned down a chance to run the table. After retiring from US West in 1994, he was able to spend much more time playing billiards, especially at Clements Community Center. Paper airplanes-if there was any sort of paper around, Jerry was making an airplane, and conducting several test flights for distance. And, although born in Syracuse, he became a lifelong Denver Broncos fan in 1981 when he moved his family to Colorado. Never a fair weather fan, Jerry could also be found cheering on the Colorado Rockies since 1993.
Preceded in death by his parents, William & Dora, and brothers Arthur and James. Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara, daughter Janet (Rick), son Timothy (Carisa), and daughter Karen (PJ). Some of the most joyous times of his life were spent doting on his grandchildren, Mae'Lonna, Nathan, Aiden, Mason and Rileigh.
