Jo-Ann Carnahan Fisher, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 21, 2019 in Lakewood, CO, where she had been living near her daughter for almost three years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wiley Wayne Fisher; sister Mary Alice (nee Carnahan) Montgomery and brothers, Lloyd Carnahan, David Carnahan and Glen Carnahan, all of the Emlenton/Clarion, PA area.
She is survived by son Jeff Fisher of Woodbine, GA; daughter Linda (Anway) Richstrew and Linda's husband, Cecil, of Lakewood, CO; grandsons Randy Richard (Megan) Anway of Houston, TX, and Steven Scott (Michelle) Anway of Evergreen, CO and six great grandchildren.
Jo-Ann was born August 28, 1926, in Clarion to Emmett and Emma Carnahan. She completed her schooling in Clarion, married "Bud" in 1946, raised her family and worked for a telephone company in the Pittsburgh area for several years before she and Bud retired to Florida in the 1970s. She was an avid reader, crocheted afghans for numerous relatives and friends and loved the Lord.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Golden, CO on May 28. Her remains will be buried alongside her husband at Emlenton Cemetery at a later date.
