John has 3 Loving sisters Della Ulibarri, Viola Romero, Rosie Gregory and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his children's mother, Elizabeth Libby and wife Rose Pineda, his sons Luz and Mark Sr. Nuanez, Grandson Alex Subia and many Grand-angels. Parents Luz & Filomena Nuanez, Brother and sister in law Henry and Eva Nuanez, Brothers-in-law, Abelino Ulibarri, Andy Romero and many family and friends.

Our Dad held his family dear to his heart. He loved the Lord and made sure his children had a relationship with the Lord. To those who knew him he was a jokester and said what was on his mind. He held many jobs, some he loved and some not so much. He worked in the farms, He was a butcher and a bar owner. He liked to gamble and had the Midas touch. He loved to tell stories about his life and he loved his sweets, playing Yahtzee, watching westerns and playing cards. In 2014, he started to face health issues. He was a fighter, but always claimed to be a soldier. He never let anything hold him down. He lived a life full of love. He was granted a very special gift on his final days. He was surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren, and this memory will always be in our hearts. Our dad's life would seem too short, not being able to physically be with him. We would spend all day with him on the portal. We understood that quality & quantity of the time that he was given was not to be taken for granted and was very precious to us. His beautiful smile and sense of humor brought so much joy and laughter to our family. Dad will always be forever in our hearts and we thank the Lord for the special gift our Savior granted our family with the love & peace we shared on his journey home.
Dad, You are deeply loved and will be missed dearly.
Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
To Yahweh be all the glory
With much love & our sincerest gratitude.
The Nuanez Family
We Love You
Dad, Daddy, Pops, Papa, Grandpa, John Juan, Mel

I remember my last visit with Mel. (A while before he passed) He was very talkative & had many stories.
My favorite one was how he bragged that his Daughter’s Lorrie & Crystal got him that wonderful room and he didn’t have to pay for anything because they paid for it all. He definitely was a “proud” Daddy of his daughters & whole family. “ Rest in Peace Mel & day hello to all of our “ LOVED ones!!!
Love you so very much.
God Bless you,
Phil & Lil Mora
