Obituary

Obituary for Jonathan Lee Trout

Jonathan Lee Trout, age 69, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 23, 2020 after a year and a half battle with ALS. Jon was born on October 24, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana to Joseph "Max" and Audine Trout.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Brittany and son-in-law Jeff Kesler, grandson Sawyer Lee and granddaughter due in June of 2020; his brothers Ted and Hal; many nieces and nephews, family and many friends. Preceded in death by his father and mother, step sister Joyce, bother Al and sister Phyllis.

Jon settled in Colorado in the 1980's where he pursued his love of the mountains, camping and four wheeling. He loved, and was amazing at, anything involving food. From cakes and treats, and anything with chocolate to steaks, burgers, and his famous ribs with homemade BBQ sauce. And everyone's favorite...many flavors of homemade ice cream!

He was an avid photographer, loved music, singing, cigars, and motorcycles. But his favorite times were spent with family at the Trout family reunions and he treasured time spent with extended family and friends. And he was funny or maybe better said, "punny!"

Jon was a devoted member of Riverside Baptist Church in Denver. He loved and served others like Jesus did and has left behind many waiting for the day we meet again at home in heaven. We love you and miss you!

Judy Trout

We, Hal and Judy, are there in spirit, at the Memorial with all our beloved family. Though Covid and Hal's health prevent our attending, know that we will be praying for and thinking of our dear Jon, at 11:00 for his Memorial. We wish so very much that we could be there!
