Obituary for Lyndell Leland Aadalen

Lyndell Leland Aadalen was born on August 8, 1928 in Redwing, Minnesota to Orval and Hilma Aadalen.
He served in the United States Air Force in Japan during the Korean War. He eventually moved to Colorado where he met his wife to be, Judi Horner to whom he was married for 48 years.
He graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Elementary Education and received his Master’s Degree in Counseling. He was a 5th grade teacher for Burke Elementary School followed by a stint with 4th grade at Kohl Elementary School- both in the Boulder Valley School District. When he retired in 1992, he enjoyed taking piano lessons and road trips with Judi to see friends and family across the country. He continued his passion for driving long distances up until just 2 years ago!
He had always faithfully served his church, and loved watching the Colorado Rockies, CU Buffs, and eating cheeseburgers and chocolate malts.
He follows his parents, brother Arlie Aadalen, and his wife Judi to Heaven to be with his Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his sister Ardus Berkley, three daughters, Jill Harrison, Amy Thomas and Marci Mattox, eleven grandchildren, Sam, Jack, and Lilly Harrison, Joe, Jarod, Jonathan, Caleb, Luke and Seth Thomas, Jayde (Mattox) Roberson and Harper Mattox and 4 great grandchildren, Thomas and Penny Thomas, Remi Thomas, and baby Roberson.
