Obituary for Maxine E. Berg

Maxine “Mickie” Elizabeth Berg passed away on July 20, 2019 at the age of 98.
Mickie is pre-deceased by her husband of 59 years, Duane Berg.

Mickie is lovingly remembered by her children Gary Berg, of Thornton, CO, Michael Berg (Wendy) of Spring Park, MN, Diane Billiet (Gary) of Grand Junction, CO. Granddaughter Melisa Clair (Curtis) of Thornton, CO and great grandchildren Alex Eskridge and Casadi Newsom.

Mickie was born in Fillmore Township Minnesota on January 2, 1921. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1938. She went on to work in administration at the Mayo Clinic, the Pentagon, and then moved to San Francisco to work at the shipyards. After moving to Arvada, Mickie went to work in the school system so she could be there for her children. Mickie enjoyed hiking, camping, crafts, gardening, traveling, dancing, laughing and her family and friends.

There will be a private burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery followed by a memorial service at Aspen Mortuaries 6370 Union Street Arvada, CO on July 26, 2019 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the ceremony at 12:30 at The Arvada Elks Lodge 5700 Yukon St Arvada, CO.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, St. Labre Indian School www.stlabre.org. or a charity of your choice.
