Obituary

Obituary for Patricia A DiPaolo (Christman)

Patty (Christman) DiPaolo was born in Glenwood Springs Colo. June 11th,1950. The doctor’s office was located on the top floor of the 1st National Bank Bldg. downtown Glenwood where she was delivered, thus carrying the title of the “million-dollar baby”.
She was the 1st of 6 children born to Fred & Ernestine Christman. Patty attended school in Glenwood, but also in Denver as her parents moved back and forth for work. She spent a lot of time with her beloved grandmother Ethel Christman of North Denver.
Patty started out as a beautician at JC Penny’s in downtown Denver, but later became the Associate Activities Director and then Medical Records Clerk for Colorado Lutheran Home in Arvada. She left there in the 90’s and pursued a career as a CNA at Covent Heights Village. Along the way she worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital as a Ward Clerk for a brief time.
Patty enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing in Colorado. Her hobbies consisted of scrap booking, bible studies, supporting the grandchildren in sports & school activities, traveling vacations, all while helping her husband build a cabin in Grand Lake, CO.

She is survived by her husband Greg, daughter Danean Hernandez, (Lucio), 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren, Roman Maynes (Brittany & Alayna), Estevan DiPaolo (Raquel Romero), Isaiah Chavez (Gavi Lucero & Michael Chavez), Elijah Chavez (Darcy De Santiago), & Paul Hernandez.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Ethel Christman, father Fred Christman, mother Ernestine Christman, brother Anthony Christman, and son Jeffrey Scott DiPaolo.

One of Patty’s signature moments in life, was to make sure that as each niece or nephew in the family when graduating high school would receive a bible. She would give each a bible embossed with their name as an additional graduation gift. Her desire was to have them come to know the Lord Jesus as she did.
Patty has been taken home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus. Her favorite bible passage was the 23rd Psalm. Nicknamed grandma GG, she will be missed by many.

Romans 8:28 28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
