Obituary for Re Ann Walters

Re Ann Walters (65) passed away at her home in Westminster, CO. on February 15th, 2021. Re Ann was born on August 6th, 1955 in Riverton, Wyoming to Henry and Reva (Lewis) Walters. Re Ann grew up in Riverton, WY where she spent much of her time as a child on her grandparent’s farm in Riverton. On most Sunday’s you would find Re Ann playing with her many cousins and siblings while eating her Grandma Lewis’ famous fried chicken. Re Ann also spent time on the weekends with her Grandma Walter’s baking fresh bread and cabbage rolls. Re Ann also spent much of her time riding her bike as a child. Re Ann attended Riverton High school where she was an avid swimmer. Re Ann married out of high school and had her first child.
In the late 1970’s Re Ann moved to Casper WY. Where she was a bartender at the Ramada Inn for many years. During her early days in Casper Re Ann welcomed her second child. While working Re Ann took care of her family and received her associate’s degree from Casper College. Re Ann became a paralegal and worked for a local law firm for a few years before moving to Denver, CO. While in Denver Re Ann was an owner and operator of her Subway store on 92nd and Sheridan. Re Ann enjoyed scrapbooking, listening to Michael Jackson and Barbara Streisand, and spending time with her family and friends. Re Ann also spent a lot of time at her brothers’ home in New Hampshire and would take her grandchildren on many adventures.

Re Ann is survived by her daughter Tanaya Bailey of Lander, WY, her son Adam Pierce (Marykatherine) of Hudson, CO, granddaughters Kelsey (Robbie) Nickle, of Grand Junction, CO, Kaeleigh Cervenak of Lander, WY, Elena Koehler, Grand Junction, CO, Paislee Pierce Hudson, CO., Myah Pierce Hudson, CO, and grandson Addison White of Hudson, CO. and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Rick (Kim) Walters, Rod (Rebecca) Walters and sister Joyce (Dan) Hachen. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Reva (Lewis) Walters, Grandparents Henry and Violet (Shaner) Lewis and Henry Sr. and Edna (Miller) Walters, and her Aunt Eldeen Bennet.
