Obituary for Roy Fay Humble

Roy Humble, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019, at the age of 76.

Roy was born to Larkin and Alta Humble on August 15, 1943 in Sturgis, SD. He graduated from Sturgis High School in 1961.

He moved to Colorado in 1963 and was a Purchasing Agent for the Eisenhower Tunnel. He later co-invented the Whipcheck and was co-owner of RFS, INC.

He married the love of his life, Judi, on June 5th, 1976. Together they raised five children, Lisa, Carmen, Jim, Greg and Pete.

Roy loved golfing, the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen. He only met a stranger once, after that they were “friend.” He also knew every back road throughout the continental United States and loved the “scenic route.” He loved animals especially his dogs, Quigley and Lakota.

Roy is survived by his wife, Judi; children, Lisa (Chris) Richard, Carmen (Dave) Cerrone, Greg (Andrea) Dye, Pete (Jennifer) Dye, and 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Also, sisters JoAnn Mutchler and Dee Dee (Kevin) Peterson and brother Jerry (Jeannie) Humble and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Larkin and Alta, son Jim Dye, and brothers Carroll Humble and Harvey Humble.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m., at The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park, located at 26624 N Turkey Creek Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439.
