Wow, just heard of Sean's passing today from a neighbor. Its hard to accept the news because Sean was so young and full of life and humor. I first met Sean when I was a young software engineer in the financial industry in Chicago and I appreciated his mentorship and sense of humor. His knowledge and ability to make me feel comfortable in a high pressure industry helped make me the professional I am today. Our relationship eventually changed and we became friends and colleague., I'll never forget when he showed me that he was part of some wierd garage door subculture so that he could figure out how to install a door on the side of his garage. When my wife and I decided to leave Chicago for Colorado I can still remember him texting me not a few days after I left about letting him know what I thought of the new company and if I could help him find a way out to Denver. When he did get here, it was great to have a beer, crack a few jokes, and talk about the Cubs. We were both so excited when they won. He was a bridge to my home town in a new land. Living here was his dream and I am so happy he got to realize it, even if only for a short while. I remember him telling me about fishing trips he would take with his daughters or a new trail he had found. It was so great to have someone who really appreciated Colorado in the same way I did as we were both going through a similar journey. My condolences to Sean's family. Rest in peace friend, you are missed.

I remember how Sean used his quick wit in a way that would poke loving fun, while simultaneously encouraging me to be my best self in a fully supportive and non-judgmental way. Most recently, I remember Sean explaining the intricacies and importance of beard oil to keep the skin underneath feeling comfortable. In Sean's honor, I'm approaching life with a more childlike jest, and fully enjoying every single girl scout cookie that comes my way. Cheers mate, we'll miss ya
