Sherri L. Vasquez, 56, passed away in Westminster, Colorado on April 25, 2019. A Colorado native and life-long student, in and out of the classroom, she received a BA in Journalism from the University of Colorado and master’s degrees in Marketing and Communications from the University of Denver. Her successful career as a journalist included nearly a decade at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver as a reporter, editor and columnist, as well as writing and editing for the Coloradoan in Fort Collins and La Voz Hispana de Colorado. Sherri was devoted to the Hispanic community, serving as a board member on the Latin American Education Foundation, VP of Marketing for the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and an active supporter of the GI Forum. She was the recipient of many prestigious awards for her contributions to print and television media and to the community. Most recently, Sherri began a new venture, Strategic Tarot, bringing joy and light to countless people through her unique and positive Tarot Readings and Classes.
