Obituary for Terrie Lynn Cain

Terrie Lynn Cain went to be with Jesus on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Denver Hospice at the age of 64. Terrie was born on July 19, 1954 to Curtis and Crystal Cain in Sullivan, MO. In 1955 they moved to Commerce City, CO. where she spent the rest of her childhood. After graduating from Adams City High School, she worked for a year at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, CO. as a candy striper to decide if she wanted to pursue a career in nursing. She went on to attended Community College of Denver, where she received her degree in nursing. She began her career at Beth Israel Hospital, then continued on to Presbyterian Saint Luke’s (Spaulding Rehab) where she worked as a charge nurse. She retired in 2011.

In her free time, Terrie enjoyed watching sports, with the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Rockies being her favorite. She had season tickets to the Broncos for 25 years. She also enjoyed vacationing with family, which included cruises to Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean, as well as many Disney trips. She read often, recently reading through the Bible 6 times. She especially loved spending time with family playing games, watching movies, BBQing, and watching her great nieces and nephews play.

She is survived by her mother, Crystal Cain; siblings, Norman (Denette) Cain, Janet Cain, Janell (Andrew) Anderson, and Roger (Kathryn) Cain; nieces and nephews, Kristina (Jared) Steiner, Kimberly Stauffer, Jasen (Annette) Cain, Melissa Anderson, Richard (Celena) Anderson, Preston Cain, Ethan Cain, and Noel Cain; and great nieces and nephews Marissa and Sammy Cain; William and Jonathan Steiner; Lucas Stauffer; Lilly, Gage, and Jace Anderson; and Tiberius and Kingsley Cain.

She is preceded in death by her father, Curtis Cain.

Services will be held at Spring Valley Cemetery (13944 Spring Valley Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118) on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11am, viewing beginning at 10:30am, and burial immediately following.
