Vicenta Zubia, 84, passed away in her home on October 4, 2019 in Commerce City, Colorado after a battle with Cholangiocarcinoma also known as bile duct cancer.
Visitation will be at 5pm-8pm on Thursday October 10, 2019 at Aspen Mortuary, 6580 East 73rd Avenue, Commerce City CO, 80022
Rosary and Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday October 11, 2019 at Our Lady Mother of the Church, 6690 East 72nd Avenue, Commerce City CO 80022, with Monsignor Jorge de los Santos of Our Lady Mother of the Church officiating. Burial will follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Reception will follow the burial at the St. Catherine's hall at Our Lady Mother of the Church from 1 to 6 pm. Arrangements are by Aspen Mortuary.
Vicenta was born in a small town in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico, to Sandalio Ceballos and Ignacia Muñoz, on February 2, 1935. She married Isabel Q. Zubia on February 6, 1973 in Denver Colorado. She was a wonderful loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was involved with Our Lady Mother of the Church for many decades. She was so loved by all her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Vicenta is preceded in death by her husband, Isabel Q. Zubia; her daughters Encarnacion de Jesus Zubia and Tomasa Medina; her parents Sandalio Ceballos and Ignacia Muñoz; her brothers Manuel Ceballos, Roman Ceballos and Trindad Ceballos; her sisters Sipriana Ceballos Medina and Angela Ceballos Saenz and multiple aunts and uncles.
Vicenta is survived by her children: Juan (Petra) Rodriguez, Sara Zubia, Maria Zubia (Benjamin Velasco), her grandchildren: Hector Medina, Milagros Medina (Jose Luevano), Virginia Medina (Miguel Mendoza), Gabino Rodriguez, Jesus (Mandy Rodriguez, Vicente (Diana) Rodriguez, Sanjuanita (Isaias) Ruiz, Chonita (Alonzo) Rodelas, Emilio Silva, Angel (Tania) Silva, Yelitza Silva, Leandro Velasco-Zubia, Angelo Velasco-Zubia, and Isabela Velasco-Zubia, her great-grandchildren: Marily (Valeria) Medina, Crystal Medina, Elena Luevano, Jose Luevano, Chayenne Luevano, Alexis Rodriguez, Adan Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, Deja Rodriguez, Roman Rodriguez, Nolan Rodriguez, Niko Rodriguez, Vicente JR. Rodriguez, Eli Rodriguez, Royce Rodriguez, Isaac Rodelas, Jaymi Rodelas, Yoali Ruiz, Yanessa Ruiz, Yaileen Ruiz, and Amairani Silva, her great-great-grandchild: Kevin Luevano. her siblings: Gregoria Ceballos, Francisco (Cruz) Ceballos, Odilia Ceballos, and Jose (Guadalupe) Ceballos, and countless nephews, nieces and cousins.
